CoLaborator, Inc. is looking for a 1099 Strategic Sourcing Partner to help identify and start conversations with business owners, operators, acquisition-minded entrepreneurs, and lower-middle-market companies across manufacturing, logistics, distribution, healthcare infrastructure, industrial services, and related B2B sectors. This is not a traditional appointment-setting role. We are building a strategic collaboration and acquisition ecosystem where selected companies and operators may have opportunities around growth, succession, acquisitions, customer overlap, capacity, capital coordination, strategic partnerships, or long-term platform development. The right person should understand how to reach real business owners and operators in a credible, thoughtful way. This could be a fit for someone with experience in acquisition sourcing, B2B business development, industrial sales, independent sponsor/search fund outreach, M&A origination, lower-middle-market lead generation, or strategic partnerships. Initial responsibilities may include: Identifying qualified business owners, operators, and acquisition candidates Building targeted outreach lists Starting conversations through email, LinkedIn, phone, or other channels Helping refine target profiles and messaging Surfacing potential platform companies, add-on candidates, operator partners, or strategic collaboration opportunities Tracking outreach activity, responses, and follow-up status Helping determine which conversations are worth advancing This would need to begin as a 1099 independent contractor / performance-aligned opportunity. The right person should have their own tools, systems, data sources, outreach resources, or workflow to operate independently in the short term. CoLaborator does not offer a traditional salary or guaranteed retainer at this stage. Compensation would need to be aligned with results and may include qualified referral economics, success-based compensation, project-level participation, or future role expansion as traction develops. Best fit: Resourceful and entrepreneurial Comfortable with performance-based economics Experienced reaching owners/operators directly Understands lower-middle-market businesses Can operate independently More focused on quality conversations than volume Interested in helping build a long-term sourcing engine, not just booking generic calls This is a good fit for someone who sees the long-term opportunity in helping build an ecosystem around business owners, acquisition opportunities, strategic collaboration, and platform development.
