‌Hey everyone! I just kicked off my search here in Texas and am getting my deal team, lenders, and investors lined up.

Following ^redacted‌'s advice, I would like to build a small team of 3-4 investors PRIOR to having a company under LOI.

I realize most investors prefer to talk with searchers once they have a deal in hand..

Does anyone have suggestions on how to build an investor team PRE LOI in a non-annoying way? Last thing I want to do is irritate a bunch of potential investors with requests for no-value-added 'intro calls,' but realize I don't have a lot of value to add to investors at this point!

I would talk about your deal parameters, who knows they might not only be potential investors they may introduce you to someone who is selling a business in those parameters.

Writing a quarterly or semi-annual email update newsletter and distributing to a group of potential investors is often a good part of the strategy
