Although developed in the 1980’s in the US, Search Funds only started reaching international stages by the 2010’s. Canada and Mexico in North America and the UK and Spain in Europe were the frontrunners. For the 2020’s Brazil, Australia, South Africa, France, and Russia, among other countries, started joining the global Search Fund “movement”.

But why only now? What is the difference between a Search Fund in an Emerging Economy or in a Developed one? And what is behind the global growth of this asset class? In this event, experts and investors from Australia, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and the US will try to clarify what’s going on and what’s coming at a global level.

Host: Fernando Sandoval (Mexico & Spain, IE MBA Student)

Moderator: Prof. Dr. Newton M. Campos (Brazil & Spain, IE Business School);

Panelists:
• Karen Spencer (United States, Searchfunder.com);
• Rob LeBlanc (South Africa, Ambit Partners);
• Santiago Teuffer (Mexico, Cerralvo Capital);
• Akram Sabbagh (Australia, WayFinder Capital).
