Hello! I've had several podcasts about acquisition on my radar for quite some time (Acquisitions Anonymous, Acquiring Minds, etc.). But I recently discovered that the HBS professors and authors of HBR Guide to Buying a Small Business started a podcast last year. It's called Think Big, Buy Small and I'd encourage you to check it out if you haven't already. Rick and Royce often interview searchers, lenders, and investors. I've really enjoyed it so wanted to share!

Will Smith also does a popular one I like called Acquiring Minds. No shortage of witty titles in this space!

I find what differentiates their podcast (and makes it better) from many of the other high quality ones on this space is that they break up the interview and throw in their own commentary in the middle. So you may have a searcher describe their search process and then the first 100 days of operating. Rick and Royce close the part about the search process and offer a 2-4 minute summary of their takeaways or why certain things they thought were relevant (and they disagree on a lot, so you get multiple perspectives). Then the interview resumes. I like that format; they are literal experts on the space so hearing their observations on the content we all just heard is valuable context.
