Tips for a smooth payroll transition

Does any one have advise or steps for ensuring a smooth transition with payroll during the first few cycles post close?

Assuming an asset deal, try to keep the same system if possible. You can always change later. I would also try to work with the seller to have the switch over occur at a payroll period so you have the full 2 weeks (or whatever frequency you have) to get it set up. From speaking to ADP, they had said that is a fairly normal process. It is also normally a large payment so having your bank set up and aware of the draw is important so that you can make sure it goes through smoothly.
