Hello, amazing search fund community!
I’m with Capre Capital, a family office private equity firm supporting searchers. I’m currently working on a book and several white papers focusing on traditional search funds.
In our research, we’ve spoken with hundreds of searchers, operators, vendors, and investors, but gathering reliable data hasn’t been easy, as many are understandably hesitant to open up. To shed light on some of the less explored aspects of traditional search, I’m looking for searchers and investors willing to engage in private conversations on the following topics:
Acquisition rates based on race and gender
CEO termination rates based on race and gender
I know these can be challenging subjects, but open discussions on them are essential for creating a stronger, transparent, and more inclusive search fund community.
Remember, less than 1% of days in human history have determined 99% of our trajectory—whether in relationships, business, sports, or even critical battles the same rules apply. Facing these tough topics head-on will provide meaningful insights and help shape a better community for us all.
PS - Thank you to everyone who has reached out privately in response to my last post! Your support is inspiring, and we’ll continue reaching out as we further develop our data.
