I see a lot of folks out there who are keen to train self funded searchers to search for a company, close the deal etc. But I don't see much talk on folks who are providing similar services on running the business once it is purchased? Are there such firms out there?
Depending on the size of the business, there are avenues on accounting, payroll, marketing, partnership where the new owner might need help on.
Anything that you've seen that has helped a new business owner?

You definitely need to get comfortable being accountable for the business, but having people to lean on for guidance and advice can be super helpful. I didn’t have a board in my business, but assembled an informal network of friends/colleagues/other business owners whose experience and input I trusted. I went to them for help as needed. Sometimes a 10 minute chat or good referral is worth months of struggling alone. Also, don’t forget that the business probably comes with a strong ops team that might even be more capable than the typical control-freak SMB owner recognizes. DM me to chat more!

Great point! There’s definitely a gap in the conversation when it comes to post-acquisition support for new business owners. Running a business after the purchase can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to areas like accounting, payroll, and financial strategy. That’s where I come in—I provide bookkeeping and CFO services to help new owners navigate these challenges and set their businesses up for long-term success. If you or anyone you know needs support in managing the financial side of things, feel free to reach out!
