Transactions Lead for Canadian SMB M&A Firm

Vamos M&A is a boutique sell-side firm for SMBs based in Vancouver, BC. We are a dynamic and growing firm seeking an experienced deal professional for the position of Transactions Lead. In this position, you will work closely with the current team, managing the process from valuation to close, with the assistance of an analyst and other team members. This role is not focused on business development. The current team is dedicated to acquiring new clients, and this position will involve managing those clients once they are onboarded. This role could be filled by someone who is either a current M&A advisor, a successful former searcher, currently working as a fractional CFO, or someone with sufficient experience in sourcing and executing deals, along with a desire to engage further in this space. You: - Are a professional with previous deal experience (buy-side, sell-side, or both) - Possess an analytical mind that enjoys deep dives into businesses, as much as structuring and negotiating deals - Are a self-starter who is looking for an opportunity to bet on themselves and have the opportunity to earn outsized returns. - Take pride in the ability to learn new analytical skills quickly, push through challenges with grit and initiative to pursue solutions - Are a strong communicator - Appreciate Canadian Small Business owners and the grit it takes to be one - Desire to work in a collaborative team environment - Are comfortable in a success-fee environment - Are eager to become a Partner in the next 24 months - Have more than 3 years post-grad professional experience in a M&A or M&A adjacent role.
