Transitioning From Software Management to Investment Side (M&A)

Hi Everyone, I am a software professional with 12+ years of software project management experience and an MBA graduate. Had couple of my own startup experiences and from past 1.8 years I have been studying, learning and exploring various M&A deals and currently advising few startups and businesses for their growth. Recently, got certified M&A advisory. very much familiar with entire M&A deal process from sales side and buy side but dont have real transaction experience yet. I am very much interested to dedicate rest of my life dedicating to Private Investments in M&A. I am bit lost to find the opportunities to work in the M&A investment field especially with PE firms or Family offices. I would welcome all suggestions how can i get my self immersed with M&A investments? If there are any Investment associate or M&A associate or any relevant opportunities existing in PE firms or Family Offices, I am happy to work from the ground up with fresh perspective with cross industry software experience.
