Empower is the UK’s fastest growing building technical-services roll-up, fresh from closing its inaugural equity raise and first partnership with Circle Control & Design Systems in Yorkshire’s water sector. You’ll work side-by-side with CEO & co-founder Nick Manning, a former Waterland mid-market PE investor who has already executed ~30 acquisitions and sat on ten boards . What you’ll do Origination & market intelligence – map fragmented sub-segments, screen targets and prepare outreach materials. Financial modelling & valuation – build integrated three-statement models, LBO/DCF scenarios and sensitivities for targets Due diligence support – coordinate commercial, financial and operational workstreams; aggregate findings for Investment Committee. Investment memos & board packs – craft crisp narratives that distil upside levers (arbitrage, margin expansion, leverage) for internal and external stakeholders. Post-merger integration analytics – track synergy KPIs and help refine our centralised finance, systems & talent playbooks. Tech enablement - work with Co-Founder Denis Piffaretti on improving workflows with AI and Tech solutions Ideal profile Penultimate-year bachelor’s student in Finance, Economics, STEM or similar. At least one previous internship in finance, M&A, private equity or consulting. Advanced Excel, solid accounting basics, and a knack for clear storytelling. Logistics & perks Length: 3–6 months, starting any time from June 2025. Location: London + optional remote days; occasional UK site visits. Package: Paid internship, curated technical-skills training, and potential to join the Group post graduation.
