The Company owns an existing 10 MW Waste-to-Energy power plant located in England, UK, currently debt-free with an established asset base including full planning permission, environmental permits and a live 10 MW grid connection.
The Company is seeking £30m to fund a comprehensive refurbishment and re-commissioning programme, to be delivered by an established, industry-recognised technical contractor. Upon completion, the plant is expected to achieve 90%+ operational availability, processing up to 100,000 tonnes of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) annually and generating sufficient power for approximately 20,000 households.
Revenue is underpinned by three streams: electricity sales via a Power Purchase Agreement, RDF gate fees from waste suppliers, and government-backed Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROCs) at 1.8 ROCs per MWh produced. A 20-year financial model returns an NPV of £37m at an 8% WACC on conservative assumptions.
The opportunity offers a strategic investor exposure to a fully permitted, shovel-ready UK renewable energy asset with contracted government subsidy income, in a sector with strong structural tailwinds driven by rising waste volumes and the UK's net zero commitments.
*Revenue and EBITDA listed is projected operational year 1 figures.
