Hey everyone - Does anyone have any website designer recommendations that they've used to build their firm's website or did you just self-build your website? If self-build, what website service/platform did you use? My fellow search fund partner and I are looking into our options now.

Thanks

^Nicholas Browner‌ I‌f you self-build a website, SquareSpace or Wix might be the easiest to use if you don't have web design experience. These platforms have a 'set it and forget it' quality that I like about them. When you get into other Content Management Systems like Wordpress or Drupal for example, you need to have someone constantly keeping the site up to date, backed up, and ensure you're monitoring the server to keep it clear of viruses and malware. You can always start with a simple SquareSpace or Wix website now, and transition into something more robust later. I sold my Web & SEO business to Justin Tucker, his website is perfectlyoptimized.com if you're interested in working with someone. He's located in Oaklahoma and I've known him for almost 20 years. He's a great trustworthy guy.

In today's digital world, I don't think in terms of a "website". It really should be a digital marketing ecosystem where you can drive prospects into your funnel starting with your landing page/website. This ecosystem should have all of your marketing systems and automations to push your prospects through the process from lead to sale. The lead to close process is unique for every individual. Thus, your system should have the flexibility to meet them wherever they are. For some, it could take months to a year. Yet, if you build the ecosystem correctly, you can allow them to "self-close" on their timeline.
