Hi,

I operate as a self-funded searcher who is also a business consultant, M&A advisor and placement agent. I'm with a FINRA registered national broker-dealer.

I am looking for sources for website development/hosting. I'm not interested in the whole digital market package, but I will take a look if I have to option to just buy the website service. Right now, my site is on WIX, and I developed it myself. I recently restructured the business and need a refresh.

What providers do the search funds use? Or do you just develop general website/pages just to maintain a presence?

My feeling is that a traditional search would want a more built out site (more investors needed earlier), but for those of us that are self funded a one-page to maintain a presence works fine. I plan on only using my domain for email hosting and not publishing a site.

That said, if you use the site to drive traffic for your advisory business, the full marketing packages may be more applicable. I used wordpress and hubspot for my most recent sites. Would recommend hubspot and have heard good things about Carrd as well.

Hey Graeme I know the game of web design. I don't really take on projects anymore. But If you want to do a call you can reach me at redacted are a couple things to avoid when you are requesting a website. I am sure you got hit by a few of them already by using Wix.

I imagine there are Industry "experts" in the space. But when it comes to something like websites there is only a couple ways to do it.
