We’re rolling up the $10B pool service industry – just launched Poolify

I’ve spent the last ~10 years building IoT and software for pools. That experience led me to a contrarian conclusion: the pool industry’s fragmentation problem isn’t solved by better hardware alone. Data is only half the battle. To actually fix the customer experience and unit economics, you can’t just sell tools — you need to own the service. That’s why we started Poolify. We’re acquiring and integrating local pool service routes and pairing them with a real tech backbone — not just pro forma synergies. Many roll-ups can centralize ops and cut costs, but very few can build and deploy software + hardware + feedback loops that actually improve margins and reduce churn. Our focus is simple: -Tech to cut COGS -AI to support deal sourcing and top-of-funnel growth -Smarter route management (software + sensors) that tells techs when a pool needs attention before they arrive — driving retention and efficiency Longer term, we’ll also be licensing parts of our software and hardware stack to other pool operators. Today we operate two hubs across the Bay Area and Southern California and have completed two acquisitions, with more in the pipeline. We’re building this deliberately, route by route. We’re currently raising a round of debt to fund additional acquisitions. If you’re interested or want to learn more, please DM me.

The 'Tech Backbone' is exactly where most service roll-ups fail - they underestimate the maintenance drag of disjointed systems. Building the IoT layer before scaling the route density is the smart play here. Sent you a direct note regarding how lenders are currently underwriting that 'Tech Equity' (vs just cash flow).
