Expected value = probability * payout....while success fees can yield the highest payout, the probability of a deal closing is extremely low. At Iron Creek Partners, we are open to paying meaningful buyside success fees (1-2% of EV) for warm introductions that lead to closed transactions. Should be B2B services/software companies with good recurring revenue and $2-5 million of EBITDA. Basically "classic" search fund investment targets.
