What are the best deal sourcing platforms in the UK?

I am curious what experiences people have had with the different deal sourcing platforms in the UK. So far I have engaged Langcliffe and found that they have a number of dead / on hold deals which is quite frustrating. I am also mindful that whilst their fee is performance based, it is pretty punchy. I have had calls with Mark 2 Market and DealSuite which suggest the quality of opportunity might be higher, but they obviously require an up-front cost which is something to consider. What do you guys think and what have your experiences been with the different platforms?

I have used both DealSuite and Mark2Market. Fees are pretty negligible in the grand scheme. I have found DealSuite to have a more international scope with potentially larger opportunities. Mark2market much more UK focused and there will be UK deals on here that aren't on Dealsuite. A free one worth considering depending on your target criteria would be DealOpportunities. I don't know Langcliffe, but I know of others that are charging performance fees based on when an LOI is issued which could incur a lot of costs for a deal that goes nowhere.

Maybe have a look at USP Data (www.uspdata.co.uk) if the industry sectorisation is important. Again its a subscription model but there is value in seeing the effect of the criteria you are working with on the results so paying for a tool has benefits.
