We want to guarantee that we are on the radar of all Searchers looking to raise capital for Searches across Latin America. What are the main platforms (apart from Searchfunder) used by Searchers?

Worth mentioning- our lawyer has been a great source of finding investors. I'd recommend using an experienced search fund lawyer. Someone who does mainly search funds. Be cautious because most lawyers will claim they are experts in a field but aren't really. I'd ensure your lawyer (a) can introduce you to at least 3 people who *completed* a SF acquisition. (b) Has worked on at least 7 search fund files, hopefully more. For (a), that does not include people starting their search, people who failed to acquire or people who will not meet with you for whatever reason. Because a real search fund lawyer won't just have 3 lucky cases, but have a whole living network of contacts from doing multiple deals per year.

Following on Karl's suggestion, I'd also consider attending the International Search Fund Conference at IESE Business School next October 8-9, 2020. Last time we had about 400 registrations representing >55 countries with a substantial number of searchers, CEOs, investors, and prospective searchers from Latam including Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Puerto Rico, etc.
