On some deals, I know someone in the industry (or adjacent) and am able to get their feedback on market trends, regulations, success criteria, and provider reputation. With that, I am much more confident, and able to have a thoughtful seller conversation (and detect BS)
If I don't know someone, I try to fill the gaps with reddit or other non-promotional sources. I dont find reports as helpful
