Hi Folks, I'm in contract to buy a landscaping business. What ops software are people using that they like? It's about a $4.5m company with 40 people. I've spoke to Aspire (super expensive... about $45k/yr), LMN (much more reasonable at about $12k/yr), and just came across Jobber (which looks to be about the same as LMN.) Anyone have thoughts? If you know someone in the industry and can ping them, I'd be much obliged. Thanks! Cory

Our team uses Jobber with a lot of add-on automations and dashboards, built against their very good API (many of our add-ons built using AI). I'd be hesitant to build something fully from scratch - while definitely theoretically possible, building in all of the features you need, and keeping it up and running, sounds like a major headache on top of everything else you'll need to do to on-board yourself after closing.

I agree with James and others. You can truly build internal software systems with Claude Code and other tools, but you have to think about a lot. This include communicating with customers, marketing, tracking calls and texts, etc. This can be done within a week or two of iterations. You also have to think about scaling, M&A, and exit options as well. Either way, you have options. Happy to assist!
