What type of resume are lenders looking for?

I read that lenders / investors / brokers, etc may ask for your resume? I was wondering if there is any unique format or content that they are looking for from searchers. i.e., will a resume that we use for a typical job application suffice?

Hey Scott it varies from lender to lender. Some we have worked with ask for a PDF resume, some have a specific form they ask you to fill out, and others are OK with just a LinkedIn profile. The resume you use for a job application should be more than enough, as long as it highlights how your past experience is related to the business you're acquiring. Lenders don't have the time to intimately understand the workings of every industry so the more you can spell it out for them the better.

BTW we just launched a new platform to help match searchers with SBA lenders for their deals: https://godealwise.com/beacon Still in closed beta but would be happy to introduce you to some of the more aggressive lenders we're working with who can offer as low as 5% down payment. Shoot me an email at redacted if you're interested.

Usually a standard resume will suffice. If you have a team or group a summary of that team or group and plan is usually of value to lenders as well.
