What's on my mind, may also be on yours too

Hey what's up y'all! I am new to business acquisitions, but not new to business. I have two mentors. One in real estate and one in business. and I have been going through the phrase "stay in your lane" from one mentor. And my lane is all things real estate. But at the same time the other mentor expresses to me, "who not how." and "its not what you know it's who."

I listen to both, I am currently negotiating a manufacturing company, and own different companies involved around real estate services.

As someone who is new to business acquisitions where do you stand? What are your thoughts?
