When most of us start searching, we focus on the obvious things:
Revenue, profit margins, and growth potential.
But after looking at enough deals, you start to realize:
There are other things that matter just as much.
Sometimes even more.
Like:
• How involved the owner is in day-to-day operations.
• How reliable is the customer base is.
• Whether the business has real systems, or if everything is just in the owner’s head.
You only learn this by experience.
And usually after a few deals that looked good on paper but didn’t feel right in real life.
