Hey Searchers, where are you all setting up your LLCs/Corporations ? Are most of you going with Delaware, Wyoming or just using your home state? Also curious if you're using any agencies like Stripe to help with the setup, and how you're handling things like websites, domains, and professional email. Would love to hear what’s worked well for you!

Thanks for the tag ^redacted‌. I think for most businesses it makes sense to set up in the state where the business is located. In my experience, it only makes to register in a different state if you have a very specific reason for it. My medical practices are registered in the states where they operate. I do have an MSO that is registered in Delaware as a C Corp; I figured that I might someday need or want to raise capital to scale it and many VCs prefer a DE corporation. In hindsight, I think it was unnecessary to do so. Every state has different requirements for setting up a business. However, most are fairly simple and are usually explained very well on the state's secretary of state websites. Do it yourself and save the money. It also gives you an understanding of what you are doing and setting up. As for the rest, I think that websites, domains and email etc. are quite easy to do on one's own. If you shy away from handling simple things like that yourself, you're going to have a rough time operating a business.

Just to reinforce what ^redacted‌ said. Keep it simple, register in the state where you do business. People that tell you to register in any other state are probably just trying to sell you an overpriced and overly complicated legal package.
