I currently self-funded my search but want to engage investors when LOI is accepted. Where can I find these potential investors?

Angela - there are a number of different types of investors on SearchFunders. Some only invest in traditional search funds and the follow-on deals. Others also invest in self-funded search deals. You'll need to connect with the self-funded investor group but good news is there's a number of those investors on the site and it's a small well-connected world. I personally invest in self-funded deals so please reach out (DM or redacted and I can also connect you with others once I know more.

Angela, I was a self-funded searcher as well. I didn't end up raising any outside capital for my acquisition but during the search phase I did cultivate a group of investors in case I needed capital. I would highly recommend building that group now because once you have a deal under LOI things will move very quickly. This may not apply to you, but I was doing a regionally focused search and found there were many HNWIs that wanted to invest in their local community.
