Where is the best place to track transactions and acquisitions?

I wish it were easier to dig up stories of creative deal-making and lower/middle market acquisitions and strategies. I regularly find stories where I can put some of the pieces together, but It's often just luck that I'll stumble upon it. Aside from following funds and operators or catching someone new on a podcast, is there any way to more deliberately find these transactions?
