Hey y'all. To figure out list of private companies of more larger companies than those targeted by search (e.g. those between 25 and 150mm arr / those with 20 - 100ish employees), what are the best ways to find out information about them / how do most mm pe shops go out and source? Just pitchbook or are there other online sources that are better? I'm trying to compile a list for a recently acquired company who's looking to potentially sell tech solutions to businesses of that scale. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

I find that pitchbook can still be spotty for bootstrapped companies. LMM /boutique banks may be a good way for you to supplement online platforms like PB

Ah makes sense. If I wanted to get in front of a few of those banks or sourcing folks at PE shops, what’s a tactful way to reach out cold? Any approaches you've seen work well?
