Hi all,

I am reaching out to see your feedback on lead/data companies you’ve all had the best luck with. Finding the right phone numbers and emails of owners or specific roles in a company can be tough. What services do you recommend for the best data? I’ve heard some people use data axel sales genie, d&b hoovers, and even idicore. Interested in your thoughts. Thanks!

Hi ^redacted‌, great question. It comes down to industry and size of company. Both Salesgenie (Data Axle) & Hoover (D&B) are great choices, and both are true compilers, meaning we both create the data from the ground up and don’t just scrap the data from the web or broker it from another company and resell it. Here are a few details that differentiate the two. Data Axle’s database is built for sales & marketing, whereas D&B’s database is a byproduct of their business credit solutions. D&B is great if you’re focused on larger businesses and are more interested in their credit rating & financials, whereas Data Axle will be a better source of data if you’re more focused on small to mid-size companies and decision makers w/in those companies. Data Axle has every large business as well, because those are easy to compile, but our sweet spot is those hard to find small to mid-sized companies. Data Axle has the best coverage and accuracy because we make 25 million+ calls per year to verify the companies’ data directly with the owner/managers. Because of this compilation practice, we’re able to phone verify the primary decision maker, their email address, their industry classification, and their company size. We compile their primary business phone number; we do not have or compile direct dials because they change so frequently. I would recommend that you start a free trial of both Salesgenie & Hoovers and do your own side by side comparison. Search your zip code for businesses you’re familiar with and you’ll quickly see which company has the best coverage and accuracy. Happy to help answer more questions if you have any. You can reach me directly at redacted or continue to chat here for others to benefit from the conversation. Hope this helps.

^redacted‌ I completely agree on the direct dials, those are great to have. If you're looking for companies with less than 10 employees the primary phone will be of value to you, but for companies 10+ employees, it's certainly ideal to have a direct dial. We can help you with everything else mentioned (physical address, email address, and mobile phones)‌
