I think and issue some sellers may have is that sellers want one point of contact for information sharing and decision making. There may be a perception, and I am NOT saying it is correct, that if you sell to someone supported by a search fund, you will have to negotiate with them AND all of their backers. Again, not saying that is correct or even fair, just somethingI have heard.

The deal might be risky. It seems the owner is the life of the business. Plus, it is a specialty business. Whoever buys it should sign a non-compete 60-month contract. The employees could easily leave and poach the customers. Any price increase might create disloyal customers. This deal could be packaged better.
