Who's the best landscaping software provider? I may have found gold..

Call it ~600K landscaping companies in the US, $80B industry, over a million jobs - love it. Is everything still run on pen and paper, or are some good startups building for this industry? And yes, it may be my luck (and I mean seriously, this is lucky), but I have spoken with 2 landscaping companies this week that still operate with paper calendars (one admin takes a pic and emails it around at least), both take checks exclusively, pay outside CPAs to help with payroll, and have bad excuses for websites. If I finagle financing, who's the go-to landscaping business management software out there? Thanks!

There is almost always room for another ERP / Proj. Mgmt. system in most markets IMO. High rates from existing players for complex software, bad UIs. Small businesses often find implementation unaffordable and annual rates unapproachable. Each market has customizations that make generalist solutions less valuable.

Don't try to reinvent the wheel with accounting software aspect, just integrate with QBO, which is easier said than done.

For a good example at how difficult conversion is, look at restaurants. Still so many operate by only taking to go orders over the phone. Even now, with pandemic ordering and labor issues as a driving force. This with Google, Chownow, Gloriafood available.

Agreed, I looked into rolling up landscaping companies for this very reason and I also believe Service Titan is the biggest. With that being said, I don’t think many use it, based on my personal experience as a customer of many landscaping businesses. It’s a big market but not sure they are open to adopting it due to margins, etc. I’d love to talk more about it directly when you have time.
