There are 19,439,746 companies available to browse & download on Searchfunder through our partnership with DataAxle. This is pretty much every company in the US & Canada. Why are so few of you using it?

I agree with others above that the filtering is archaic and difficult to use. I did purchase about 3000 names for my area, which was all industries and all codes. I didn't want all of them, but if I ran a subset of only 5 industries individually, there were so many overlaps I would have downloaded 3200 companies and paid more. The one industry or all industries is a pretty terrible filter setup. Why not "select the industries you want" instead?

Since using the data, it has been helpful to identify companies, but the contact info is very hit or miss. I have to double check everything against Rocket Reach or Zoominfo, plus do a public data base search on the LLC to see if the owner name is accurate.

It's a great way to get lists of companies in a region or industry and it could be easier to use and more accurate.

Maybe I'm using it incorrectly but I haven't found the search results very useful. For instance, if I use the "manufacturing" industry search it is mostly clogged with Dunkin' Donuts, Panera, grocery stores, etc. I understand that this is based on the NAICS code but a deeper filter may help. I have also tried using the revenue filter but they are still including companies like Lululemon or Publix, large non franchise companies.

It likely works better in very specific NAICS codes but for a geographical search I haven't found it very useful and after spot checking results, I don't trust the data enough or want to pay for a list of mostly irrelevant data
