Here’s what we look for when helping clients prep their SBA 7(a) financing strategy in 2025:
– Debt Service Coverage Ratio above 1.3x (1.15x is the technical minimum, but rarely enough)
– Seller Note on full standby and properly subordinated
– Buyer Equity sourced clearly (your funds or clean investor capital)
– Post-Close Liquidity preserved whenever possible
– Realistic Add-Backs that can stand up to scrutiny
