We did an extensive review of CRM systems for ourselves back in###-###-#### We were reasonably knowledgeable about CRM systems, and also knew what they SHOULD provide. The bottom line is we went with Zoho. It is a really excellent system, and more specifically, they are constantly updating and improving it to maintain top-of-class standards which can become very important if you want to maintain a competitive edge at a reasonable financial outlay. The cost for Zoho One, for example, is very inexpensive per year. Also, as to email, it interfaces with every major email provider, and if you don't want to use them, it has its own email system too. Regardless, it has a special email review process that can segregate your incoming emails to better see the important ones from the less important ones. It is chock full of modules, automation, and features, and best of all it's easy to use and very very intuitive. One price gets everything. If asked to choose again, we still would use it.

It would depend on what you want to use it for. Hubspot has a free option if you are starting off but I see many recommend Pipedrive for other functionalities. I have not had to integrate mass email marketing and automating features so far as I go with the old school personalized emails and prospect calls. I just need a CRM for reminding me of tasks at hand and what is in my pipeline. Hubspot does that for me so far.
