Alternative to SBA loans for acquisitions?

On March 9th 2026, the rules changed for legal permanent residents in the USA, we are no longer able to access SBA backed loans. Recently I asked the question to one expert member of the ETA community and it seems there are other options, but those can be more challenging than regular SBA loans. There are lenders that I've used exactly for this. They have lending programs similar to traditional bank loans but focus mostly on franchise or SMB funding via term loans, and their covenants are fairly favorable, moreso than###-###-#### years ago.
